This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Song Royalty Calculator. By using the site, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect or store your royalty CSV files or calculation inputs on our servers. The calculator processes uploads and figures locally in your browser.

Data you enter (songs, contributors, deductions, etc.) exists only in your session unless your browser keeps it; it is not sent to us for processing.

2. Cookies, Analytics & Your Choices

We use essential storage for functionality (for example, light/dark theme preference). Those are needed for the site to remember your choices on repeat visits.

Optional Google Analytics may run if you accept non-essential cookies via our cookie banner. It helps us understand aggregate traffic (for example, which pages are viewed). We configure analytics so it does not receive your uploaded royalty files or calculator field values.

You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the banner when you first visit, or later through Cookie settings in the site footer. Declining limits analytics and advertising cookies as described in our use of Google's consent tools.

3. Advertising & Google AdSense

We may show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where allowed and where you have consented. AdSense may process data such as your IP address, device type, and general interaction with the site in line with Google's policies.

4. Uploaded Files & Royalty Data

Uploaded CSV files are parsed on your device and are not stored, transmitted, or shared by us for calculation. When you leave or refresh the page, session data is cleared unless your browser retains it.

5. Third-Party Services

Hosting, analytics (if enabled), and advertising providers may receive technical information typical of web requests (such as IP address, browser type, and rough location). That processing is governed by their respective policies and by your cookie choices.

6. Data Security

Because royalty inputs are not sent to our servers for calculation, you retain control over those files. We follow reasonable practices for hosting the public site, but no online service is completely secure.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal data, or to object to processing or to port data. Because we do not operate accounts or store your calculator inputs on our systems, there is often little or no personal data held by us directly; you can clear cookies and local storage in your browser at any time.
